We design, install and manage Battery Energy Storage Systems for industry and utility-scale applications, from hundreds of kWh up to tens of MWh. We are not a PV EPC contractor: we are storage specialists.
A BESS (Battery Energy Storage System) is an electrochemical storage system that stores electricity in lithium-ion batteries (typically LFP) to make it available when production requires it. It is made up of battery packs, a PCS (Power Conversion System), a BMS (Battery Management System), an EMS (Energy Management System) and cooling and safety systems.
In the utility-scale configuration we are not talking about home batteries, but industrial systems designed for production, plant and infrastructure applications: up to 1 MWh air-cooled indoor cabinets are used, above that outdoor containerised solutions. An industrial BESS has a typical service life of 10–15 years; LFP chemistry offers more than 6,000 charge and discharge cycles.
Reduces power peaks drawn from the grid and the fixed charge that weighs on the bill every month.
Stores energy in low-cost time bands and makes it available during peak hours.
Increases the share of solar energy actually used instead of feeding it back to the grid.
Provides backup and continuity to production lines in case of blackouts or grid drops.
Enables participation in the regulation services provided to Terna and the related revenues.
A properly managed and maintained plant keeps its performance and value for its whole service life.

Many companies start from photovoltaics and add storage. We take the opposite path: we start from how your energy system needs to work — consumption, critical loads, autonomy goals — and only then size the storage and, if useful, the photovoltaic to integrate.
Site survey, load curves, sizing and quotation.
Supply, assembly and commissioning of the system.
Continuous remote monitoring and optimisation.
Preventive and corrective maintenance, power electronics repair.
Our value does not end at commissioning. Thanks to the experience of STI Repair, active since 1997 in the repair and regeneration of power electronics and inverters, we support the client throughout the technical life of the system — with the same expertise with which we designed it.
A utility-scale BESS is an industrial system from hundreds of kWh to tens of MWh, designed for production plants and infrastructure applications. It differs from home systems (5–20 kWh) in power, architecture, medium-voltage integration and grid services that can be delivered to Terna.
It depends on capacity. For systems up to 1 MWh, air-cooled indoor cabinets are used (sizes from 50 to 200 kWh each). For larger sizes, outdoor containerised solutions are used: a 1 MWh BESS takes up roughly 60–80 m² including auxiliary systems.
An industrial BESS has a typical service life of 10–15 years. The actual duration depends on the battery chemistry (LFP offers over 6,000 cycles), depth of discharge, thermal conditions and the quality of maintenance. Proper O&M significantly extends its operational life.
Yes. For manufacturing companies in the Piceno area, for example, a BESS serving the production unit is among the eligible costs of the 2026 Fund against De-industrialisation, with a grant of up to 100%. Discover the grant.
Tell us how your energy system works: we analyse consumption, size the storage and tell you clearly what makes sense, with or without integrated photovoltaics.
